death… fasting… cross carrying…

Death… fasting… cross carrying… reminders the world is not the way it was intended to be…

But because of Him… His death… His fast… His cross… things will all be made right one day… fixed forever…

Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take eat; this is my body.” And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you I  will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in the Father’s kingdom.”

Matthew 26:26-29 ESV

Death reminds us of our need for a Savior…

Fasting reminds us this world is not all there is…

Cross carrying… allowing Him to use us to reach others… reminds us of His gracious sacrifice on our behalf…

Today… I heard of a death in my extended family… a call to fast… and well… the cross carrying is to be daily…

Just another day… waiting for Him… to make all things new…

And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

Revelation 21:5 ESV
