It’s hard to sight-see on these roads…
My husband’s remark concerning the narrow… winding… way we drive…
Roads with no shoulder… steep rocky rise on one side… steep wooded drop off on the other…
Only two lanes wide…
And I think about the narrow road He calls us to walk…
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. …”
Matthew 7:13-14 NIV
If there’s a correlation… to driving a narrow road… and walking His way… then there is not much room for wandering… or sight-seeing along the way…
No losing focus on the road.. or you might slam into rocks… or find yourself dropping off a cliff…
We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.

The eyes must stay on the road… on the way…
Like the road filled with S-turns… the Holy Spirit blows wherever He wishes… we know not where… or what might be around the next curve…
Attention must be focused on what’s ahead… not on what’s off to the side… if you want to stay on the Way…
Eyes fixed on Him…
The only way… to travel the narrow road… that leads to life…
