And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.”
Acts 10:15 NKJV
Reading in Acts this morning… Peter defends his time with Gentiles… in their home… visiting… eating… because they believed and received the Holy Spirit in his presence…
“If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?”
Acts 11:17 NKJV
The Mosaic law… considered all Gentiles unclean… they could not participate in the sacrifices of atonement…
But Jesus… the Lamb of God… changed all that…
He came for all who would receive… Jew and Gentile…
Now… all people… are nothing common… all are ones for whom He died…
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. …”
John 3:16-17 ESV
All have the potential to be His… through His blood… by faith…
He died for all… once for all… so there is nothing common… about anyone… you meet… or know…
