I’ve done some complaining to Him this week… wondering if I’m doing what I’m supposed to…
Life feels cramped… when I long for wide open spaces… rest…
Unsure… I surrender… trust He can use me… a marred mess… for good…
And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make.
Jeremiah 18:4 NKJV
In the surrender… in this place of trust… I suddenly see… how along the way… in my ordinary week… He has filled my hands with what I need… to do what I was doubting… and complaining about…
I learned it this past Tuesday… and shared it here… how the Hebrew translated ordain… literally means… fill the hand of… (Exodus 29:9 NASB)… and today I see it happen…
I hear Him say… in the recognition of filled hands… You are ordained… for what you are doing…
In this picture… there is a shift in me… in what it means to serve Him…
It’s not about how we feel it’s going… or whether we feel like we’ve adequately prepared… or even have time to…
It’s about His ordination of us… His filling of our hands with what we need… when we follow Him… in our ordinary day…
Ordained… His filling our hands… for His service… in all He calls us to…
He chooses who He ordains…
He calls who He ordains…
He equips who He ordains…
It’s not about us… it’s about surrendering… trusting… following Him… even into tight… cramped… places…
And in the surrender… my life suddenly broadens…
Amen…
