I’ve learned over the years of walking with Him… it’s so much easier… less painful… less anxiety inducing… if I simply obey… do my duty as a servant… in the moment… without much thought… or hesitation…

Be available… to do just do what He says…
But too often I truly display the attitude of an unworthy servant… balking… arguing… at times saying to Him… You want me to what…?!
So these days… when I hear His Spirit whisper… Go there… Do this… Say that… Give... it often just gets done…
It’s when the call requires preparing and waiting… my anxiety levels heighten…
Those calls that come ahead of time… waiting required… are the more stressful times for this unworthy servant… because I have time to think… anticipate… dread…
Yet… I’m learning to wrestle with Him… remember it’s not about me… it’s about Him… and all I need do… is what He tells me… say what He provides… prepare how He leads… pray… pray… pray… to keep me out of the way… show up… and trust Him…
Oh… what an unworthy servant I am…!
So glad it’s not about me… and His grace covers all my unworthiness…
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
2Corinthians 9:8 ESV
If I could just keep looking at Him… and stop thinking about me…
What kind of servant are you…? do you balk and complain…? are you available when He calls…? or does He have to make an appointment to get your attention…?
Remember today… we are all unworthy servants… called only to do our duty…
