My husband shared with me ” the golden rule” according to someone he knows…
He who has the gold makes the rules.
I balked… That’s the world’s way… a road that leads to death…
In response… he said… It’s true…
As I went to write down this wrong worldly “truth”… commit it to paper… I realized… It is true…!
All the gold… all the ends of the earth… the farthest seas… the entire universe… belong to Him… the Creator and Keeper of all things…
Behold, to the Lord your God belong heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it.
Deuteronomy 13:14 ESV
And YES…! He makes the rules…
Which is exactly why we need not fret over the ones who think they rule for now… the ones He’s entrusted with wealth and power… the ones who use it unjustly and for their own glory…
Because not only does He make the rules… He judges the outcome… and for those who realize the world we live in now… is not the end all and be all… those who trust His judgment and the work of His Son on the cross and in His resurrection… all will come out right…
Great peace have they which love thy law: And nothing shall offend them.
