This was the view on my laptop this morning… first thing I saw… the beginning of something which never happened…
Yesterday evening… I sat down to write… What do I say today… Lord…?
No words came…
I walked away… continued to listen…
Still… no words to share here…
Nothing noteworthy…
Only quiet…
And that’s OK… because it wasn’t like He and I didn’t talk… we did…
Just nothing to share here…
So the lesson…? The journey with Him is personal… daily… and sometimes quiet… ordinary…
A day with His presence always near… Him always on my mind… in my heart… but just a normal day…
Like husband and wife… living out their days together…
Some days… just normal… usual daily routines…
But always on one another’s mind… beginning and ending the day together… never forgetting they are married…
Yet… these days… with nothing noteworthy to share with others… are the building blocks of intimacy…
In the daily… nothing to shares… is the foundation of two being one… living life together…
It’s the same with Him… quiet… personal… some days routine… yet building a foundation of faith…
Days with nothing noteworthy… forge intimacy… and I suppose that becomes noteworthy in itself…
Praying you have quiet… nothing noteworthy days with Him… days together in the daily routine… drawing closer…
You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O Lord, You know it all. You have enclosed me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is too high, I cannot attain to it.
