By this the Holy Spirit indicates that the way into the sanctuary has not yet been disclosed as long as the first tent is still standing.
Hebrews 9:8 NRSV
Our first tent is our body of flesh… as long as it stands… we have no way into the sanctuary…
The first tent must be taken down for the Way to be opened to the Father…
The taking down of our fleshly tent happens when it is crucified with Christ…
If our first tent still stands on its own reason… its own works… its own self-worth and self-righteousness… there is no way into the Sanctuary of God…
The Way has not yet been disclosed… revealed…
Without the revelation… there is no way… to enter God’s presence…
Jesus… God’s Son… IS the Way… the Truth… the Life… (John 14:6)
No one… not one… comes to the Father except through Him…
He was crucified for all… a gift of salvation offered to all mankind…
But the gift is NOT like the sin which infected all…
…sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned…
Romans 5:12 ESV
Sin came through Adam… the first man within whom were all future generations…
Therefore… when he sinned… all sinned…
But the free gift is not like the trespass. …the free gift by the grace of the one man Jesus Christ…
Romans 5:15 ESV
The gift of grace requires us to believe by faith… that we are offered a gift through Jesus…
It’s understanding we need that gift for life… and not just in this world… but for eternal life…
By faith we choose to receive the gift offered…
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loves me and gives himself for me.
Galatians 2:20
In our baptism and resurrection into Jesus… our first tent… our fleshly bodies… are taken down…
At this point we are dead to sin and alive to Christ… (Romans 6:11)
As long as we are still standing on our rights and understanding… there is no way to Life…
