I heard it said at a funeral service… the pastor speaking about the saint moved on to glory… how she would be making alterations to heaven… just as she had on earth…
And I hear a flaw in the thinking… a misunderstanding of those who seek to alter… perfect… things on earth…
You see… I’m one of those… who sees what’s wrong… and longs to perfect… make right… what has gone terribly wrong…
I see all the ways God has worked in me over the years… where before I saw futility in making my bed daily… It will only get mussed again…
To challenge me to make my bed daily… a spiritual discipline… reflecting what He does continually… since the day He began creating… bringing order… beauty… out of chaos…
For those who have not yet seen… the beauty of perfecting… or experienced the call to alter… I say… it is a way to pursue the Holy…
It reflects a stirred up desire… for what is prepared for us in heaven…
A yearning for what is found perpetually in His presence…
Beauty…
Order…
Perfection….
Moving toward perfection… echoes what is found in His heart…
