Like a swallow or a crane I chirp; I moan like a dove. My eyes are weary with looking upward. O Lord, I am oppressed; be my pledge of safety.

Isaiah 38:14 ESV

The worldview we are called to keep… can make us weary…

Seeing the world with eyes of faith… sure of what we do not see… always looking up… to Him and His promises… is at times… hard…

Loving like Him… dying to self… taking the ridicule of the world… fighting off the oppressive lies of the enemy… can get tiring…

That’s when we need to put words to our worldview… call on Him in prayer… remind ourselves… who it is we are looking up to… and who we are in the grand scheme of His Kingdom…

To you I lift up my eyes, O you who are enthroned in the heavens! Behold, as the eyes of the servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maidservant to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, till he has mercy upon us.

Psalm 123:1-2 ESV

And mercy He will have…

When we wait… watch… look up to Him… servant to Master…

He is trustworthy… to do what He says… and be who He says He is…

He proved it Himself… gave us an example to follow… along with the call…

For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly.

1Peter 2:21-23 ESV

Call on Him when you get weary…

Follow His footsteps…

Persevere… by… faith…
