We are called to… love like Him…
As I write these words… I remember the acronym for being HOLY…
Hope-full
Obedient
Love like Him
You are chosen… live like it…
Part of pursing holiness… is learning to love like Him… It is not something that comes naturally…
Loving like Him only comes supernaturally… as we receive His love for us…
We love because he first loved us.
1John 4:19 ESV
He must teach us to love with His love… Sacrificial Love… greater love than any love the world has to offer…
He equips us… to love like Him… with gifts of grace…
The gifts of grace God blesses us with… are the means we use… to love others… family… friends… Believers… neighbors… strangers… enemies…
Sharing our stories… of how He revealed His love to us… and is loving us…
Teaching others… what we know of Him…
Serving the needs of others… with what He’s put in our hands…
Forgiving… as we’ve been forgiven…
Whatever spiritual gifts… soul-healing… truth and grace… He has given us… we pour it out for Him… on those He calls us to love…
No matter… the inconvenience… discomfort… cost… or vulnerable position… using these gifts might place us in… this is the way we love like Him…
And walk in love, as Christ loves us and gave Himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Ephesians 5:2 ESV
Loving like Him involves sacrifice… loss of self…
But God receives each act of love… as a fragrant offering…
By loving others like Him… we reveal our love for Him…
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

Love and holiness… they are not things we can do on our own…
We must rely on His love and grace…
as He calls us to love others… like Him…
