Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 14:6 ESV
Only He opens eyes and hearts… to the Way of faith…
“…no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”
Matthew 11:27 ESV
It is a gift from God…
But once the One Way is revealed… there is a call to come…
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
Matthew 11:28-29 ESV
A call to come alongside in His work… under His yoke… with a teachable… obedient… heart…
Seeing the Way with heart and eyes… is not enough… it must be followed with action… trusting His way is the One Way… to receive the promised rest…
We must confess to receive the forgiveness… which washes us clean… frees from guilt…
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1John 1:8-9 ESV
Even in the opening of others’ eyes… increasing the number of Believers… includes us willingly… openly… sharing our stories… to magnify His glory…
…when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.
2Thessalonians 1:20 ESV (emphasis added)
He will be glorified in the saints… and from them will come glorious praise on the Day He returns… because those who’ve gone before us shared their testimony about Him… and in turn… those who believed shared their testimonies… and we in our turn… share what we have heard and believed… to draw even more to Him…
But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?
Romans 10:14-15 NLT
The One Way… is a two-way street…
He opens the Way toward us… we move toward Him… with obedience… confession… repentance… and sharing what we know about Him…
He reveals… we respond…
How are you responding to His One Way…?
