And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
Luke 2:7 ESV
Christmas flew by in a flurry of celebration…
A moment given to remember the Reason we celebrate… the One to be honored on December 25… then on to stockings and gifts…
Then cooking and eating… reveling in gifts given… more cooking and eating… sharing time with family…
From the rising of the sun… until its setting… a day to celebrate…!
Following this celebration of His birth… His miraculous… gracious… entry into our world… it’s time to remember… He will return…
The King is coming…!
Our days as Believers should include pondering this truth each day…
Staying awake to the reality of the unseen… awake to the work He wants to do in and through each one of us… building… preparing His Kingdom for His return…
Making room for Him… because the world won’t… its bent is to squeeze Him right out… take His place as king…
Our days should include celebrating Him too… not just once a year at Christmas… and not just Sundays…
Every day… take a moment… to honor… worship… deviate from the daily routine of your world… and celebrate… all He has done… and is doing…
Ponder…!
Awake…!
Rejoice…!
Embrace…!
Pare down your life… however is needed… to make room for Him in your world…
He must increase, but I must decrease.
John 3:30 ESV
Just because Christmas has come and gone… doesn’t mean we leave Advent behind…
Now is the time… to stay awake… and prepare for His return…
The King is coming…!
As they strained to see him rising into heaven, two white-robed men suddenly stood among them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!”
Acts 1:11 NLT
How will you spend your days waiting…?
