And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
Luke 2:7 ESV
The third Sunday of Advent… and I open the third part of my gift from the sister…
Make Room… a crib prepared… to receive the King… the newborn King…
Room needs to be made… because there is no room… when the worldly ways rule…
But what does it take to prepare a heart…? to make room…? for Him to reside now…?
What does it take to prepare for His return…?
Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain righteousness on you.
Hosea 10:12 ESV
Sowing… reaping… righteousness… love…
Breaking up hard ground… making it soft… ready to receive conviction of sin… see the need for forgiveness… and turn a heart around…
This is where we begin… to make room for the King in our daily lives… recognizing hard places… being willing to be broken… prepared for His rain of righteousness…
This is how we prepare for His eternal reign of righteousness… at His return…
Do you have a place for Him in your heart…? your life…?
“…Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. …”
Revelation 3:20 ESV
