Making disciples… is not about teaching the law… Woe to you… teachers of the law…
The law makes everyone a hypocrite… because no one can keep it…
For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
Romans 3:20 ESV
Making disciples is about teaching all Jesus commanded… Love God… love others…
As we worked she asked… Shouldn’t the justice system be fair…?
A loaded question… so I ask what she means…
She said… Everyone gets the same punishment for the same crime… you know… fair…
I asked in return… Was it fair for Jesus to die for your sins…? Was that fair…?
Oh… No…

The law vs what Jesus taught…
For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it. For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under the law of liberty. For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
