The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Philippians 4:5-6 ESV
A loved one broke into my dream… just stepped into a scene unexpectedly… looking very distraught…
I was awake in a flash… filled with anxiety… it seemed so real…
Immediately… I began to pray… but too stirred to lay in the bed…
Onto the floor I went… next to the bed… bowed down before the Almighty interceding for the one I love so much…
Wrestling in prayer… calling on His power and promises…
Praising Him… thanking Him… my spirit crying out for Him to protect… restore… redeem…
I took my anxiety to Him… and I’m not so sure it wasn’t stirred up by Him…
A picture of what is… given in my dreams… to bring me to my knees to intercede for one I already pray continually…
Or maybe… He was revealing underlying anxiety in me… subconscious… unrecognized… deep concern… which I needed to bring to Him… to know His peace…
This morning… I do have peace… knowing His love for the one I love is far greater… knowing He is at hand… in my life and the life of the one I love…
Anxiety… it’s a wake up call to pray… and know His peace…
The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything , but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
