Church… Jesus used the word first…
The Greek… ekklesia… means… a gathering of citizens called out from their homes…
And that’s what He’s done… called His people out of their home… out of the world… into His Kingdom…
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ…
Philippians 3:20 ESV
I think about the sisters who gather at the shop…
Church… twice a week…
We gather to seek what it means to live in His Kingdom…
To fully take hold of our citizenship in heaven… as we continue to journey through the world we’ve been called out of…
The sharing of hearts… spirits… doubts… fears… struggles… as we find our place in Him…
In these gatherings… we support one another… encourage perseverance… to go out into the world… until we gather again…
The coming together… the called out gathering… it’s a great joy to be a part of…
A reminder of His promise…
He is building His church… and hell doesn’t win…
