White-hot worship… can you imagine…?

The words capture my imagination… fill me with a desire I know cannot be fulfilled in the flesh… because it would simply not be able to stand the heat…

White-hot worship…

Worship inspired by His Word… every single one of His words…

Is not my word like fire, declares the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

Jeremiah 23:29 ESV

I think about how His Word is treated these day… how few… who say they love Him… have actually read it… every word…

Even fewer are moved to a worship-full attitude when it is read… or so it seems…

His Word… the Word made flesh… should inspire worship… heart-felt… spirit-on-fire… worship…

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:14 ESV

Eyes should well… pride retreat… ego fall on its face in thanks… when His Word is read… supernaturally… in the power of His Spirit…

How are you reading His Word…? What is your motive…? Are you overwhelmed with worship by His Word…? am I…?

If your motive to read His Word… is not to see His glory… experience His majesty and beauty… then you are missing the point…

After yesterday’s wonder of worship… I desire even more… look forward to… the time when I am enabled… equipped… to worship Him… white-hot…

Until then… I determine to seek His glory… His majesty and beauty hidden in His Word… and be moved to worship Him… as much as my flesh can stand…
