I dreamed about buying lipstick the other night… which is odd because I usually don’t wear it…
When I found the color I was searching for… I looked at the name…
It was called… Discernment…
I woke wondering what He was telling me… Do I need to wear discernment on my lips…? Be more discerning in what I say…?
Yes… most likely… who could not be a little more discerning with their words…
Could He be more clear…?
Discernment guards your mouth… belongs on your lips… because out of the overflow of your heart the mouth speaks…
Discernment on my lips means… knowing what to say… and what not to say…
There is power in words…
The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Since then… I’ve been trying to guard my mouth… keep the gates of my lips closed… check my words before I speak…
There are those I want to effect in positive ways… push them toward Him… not away…
So I pray… Lord… bless me with discernment on my lips… forgive my lack of discernment…
Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips!
