If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.

There is no staying ahead… only keeping in step…
We can fall behind… and sometimes… that feels safer… because we know what lies ahead…
And any staying ahead… is only an illusion…
We think we have it together… a moment to rest…
But then it’s gone…
Keeping in step with Him… is the only place to be…
Admittedly precarious… because there’s no extra space… except what He provides… when He provides…
And there’s no knowing… exactly what’s ahead…
No putting off till tomorrow…
No saving for a rainy day…
In step… it’s just the place to be…
right alongside Him…
right where He wants us to be…
trusting Him…
with each next step…
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
