And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

In a dark world… where evil seems to prevail… doing good can be wearisome…
When the darkness continually tries to snuff out light… and lies aim to shoot down truth… the fight to shine… can just make you tired…
But He says… Let us not grow weary of doing good…
Let US… US… did you hear it…?
I’ve read it several times this week…
…he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”
Hebrews 13:5-6 ESV
We are not alone in doing good… He is with us… alongside us… part of us… providing help… strength… encouragement… to keep on doing good…
The season is coming… for reaping a harvest… if we do not give up… give in… walk away…
There is another encouragement… in this whole battle against darkness… against evil…
Yet another reason to NOT grow weary… but stand firm…
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7 ESV
Resistance… a firm stance against evil… causes darkness to turn tail and run…
It’s a promise…
Please note… I share this on a day of weariness… dirty dishes in the sink… bills to pay… sad news both local and afar… a pressing darkness which seems to be winning in the world…
So I preach to myself… Don’t grow weary… stand firm… and the evil will flee…
