A sacrifice…
Thanksgiving means we lay down pride… and all delusions of self-sufficiency…
We must concede… all we have and all we are… is from Him… we can do nothing on our own… obtain nothing in our own power…
We are incapable of saving ourselves…
In giving thanks… we confess… we are poor and needy…
The sacrifice of thanksgiving… the first step toward salvation…
“… He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me; and to him who orders his way aright I shall show the salvation of God.”
Psalm 50:23 NASB
When was the last time you offered Him… a sacrifice of thanks…?
He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction. Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, and for his wondrous works to the children of man! And let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving, and tell of his deeds in songs of joy!
