God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change…

Psalm 46:1-2 NASB

Change… it comes with unknowns…

And with the unknowns…  comes the potential for fear…

The earth changes… constantly… with its tidal movements and quakes…

From mudslides to forest fires… storms can change landscapes…

But the earth changes in other ways too… politically… socially… ethically…

From international fronts… to national issues…

Balances of power swing from one to another…

Social and cultural upheavals change families and values…

Personal changes… from jobs to relationships… aging and illness…

All can rock our world… make the earth seem an unsafe… unsteady… unsure… place…

But there is One who is always the same… steady as a Rock…

For those who trust Him… He is our refuge and strength…

An ever present… abundantly available… source of help…

In it all… no matter the change… He can be trusted… to be in control… to have a plan and purpose… in… it… all…

So He tells His people… in an ever changing world…

“Let go, relax* and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Psalm 46:10 NASB

No need to fear… when change seems rampant…

Just… be… still… know… He… is…
