I have a couple of loved ones… ninety and older…
I’ve watched one this week struggling in the hospital these past two day… repeatedly saying… I’m just so tired…
Then news today of the other… increased weakness over the last month… physically winding down…
We have these tents… these physical bodies we live in… slowly wearing away… deteriorating… coming apart at the seams…
But there is the comfort of knowing… both these sweet ladies… are sisters in Christ…
In Him… we need not fear… He’s building a home for us… which will never fall apart… never ache… never weaken…
In Him… we will forever… be at home…
For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling, if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked. For while we are still in this tent, we groan being burdened — not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
