Aren’t you very religious…?
An odd question… revealing my oddity…
I found myself stumped for an answer… wondering where the question came from… why… and… am I…?
I’ve never thought of myself as… very religious… actually considered myself the opposite of…
After an awkward silence… I said… I’m a Jesus follower…
I asked another later… Do you think I’m very religious…?
Their answer came with a sense of irritation that I didn’t see it myself…
From his perspective… Where others put in part… you are all in…
And of course then I wondered…
Am I…? all in…?
religious adjective… relating to or manifesting faithful devotion to an acknowledged ultimate reality or deity…
According to Merriam-Webster… I’d have to say… I’m religious… hopefully working up to very…
Faithful devotion to Jesus… following Him… being all in… is what I want to move toward…
It’s what all His people are called to do…
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. …”

I’m left feeling odd and wondering… who am I…? what are people seeing in me…? and does it really matter…? as long as I follow Him…?
