Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Seeking His will… in all I do… He shows me which path to take…
The NLT Bible reads different from the ESV… a translation I’m more familiar with…
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Proverbs 3:6 ESV
Acknowledge vs seek… show vs make straight…
They sound different… acknowledging and seeking…
Looking at the original… “seeking” seems closer… to find out… discern…
Also… “show” seems more accurate than “make straight”…
If we discern His will… seek to follow Him… He does not straighten the kinks out of our path… He shows us what path to take… the RIGHT path… the righteous way…
He led me down different paths today… ones I didn’t intend to take at the beginning of my day…
Paths my flesh didn’t want to take…
But my seeking… desiring… to not let His word fall to the ground… led me down paths far more right… straight… than the ones I would’ve chosen for myself…
This is one of those lessons… I’m not sure they’re words for… the reason behind two different translations of the same Word… sounding so different…
In seeking His will… being open to His word to me… I took a path… I wouldn’t have chosen otherwise…
What about you…? have you found yourself on a path you wouldn’t have chosen…? because you sought to seek His will…? in all you do…?
