You see… at heart… I’m a one and done girl…
Let me do it once… do it till it’s finished… then MOVE on… to something else…
An extra unexpected day like today… free from the normal routine… makes me think I should be able to get something done… complete… finished…
But no… where I find myself now… is in the midst of many projects… requiring a little by little mentality…
It’s what God told the Israelites before they entered the Promised Land…
The Lord your God will clear away these nations before you little by little.

As they established their places in their new homeland… began taking possession of all they were given… they had to be deliberate… working little by little… as He led… as He cleared the way…
I find myself with several entities… requiring the same attitude of deliberate work… little by little each day… if I want to finish any… stay on task in all… not forget where I’m going in each…
From knitting to writing in several different places… I find the need to embrace the concept of little by little… because all are too big… to finish in one extra day…
Working on something a little each day… is not my default mode… but I guess it’s something I need to come to grips with…
Big projects take time… working some each day on many different things… can be challenging… maybe even discouraging… when I find great satisfaction in the finish…
I’m reminded… there is no finish… to our walk with Him… we are to be constantly stretched… always learning… always growing… into the character of our Infinite Savior… little… by… little…
