Three days until Christmas… another prayer to remember His coming… another opportunity to intercede for those in your world… using His story… for inspiration…
He came to reveal Truth… make Himself known to a wayward world…
Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by nature are not gods. But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slave you want to be once more?
Galatians 4:8-9 ESV
To know God… is to be known by Him… a relationship which changes our hearts… moves us in a different direction… alters our purpose in the world…
There are those who changed direction in the Nativity story… those who intentionally moved their lives toward Him…
The wise men… the Magi…
When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.
Matthew 2:10-11 ESV
To the wise men… He made Himself known through a star…
A star they followed a great distance… bringing gifts… with hearts prepared to worship…
These men were not Jews… they were men to whom He revealed His coming into the world… and they came to Him with their treasures… ready to lay them down before Him… for His use…
Knowing Him… changes our direction… our values… turns our lives upside down…
A Nativity Prayer… Day 3…
Praise Him for changing hearts in the process of making Himself known…
Praise Him for His power to bring about transformation through relationship…
For healing… for direction… for purpose…
Intercede for yourself and others… pray for the same heart attitude as the wise men…
Pray for hearts of worship… knowing He is the only One worthy of worship… no matter the cost…
Ask Him to prepare hearts to willingly pursue Him for great distances… to stay the course… and rejoice at the end of the journey…
Pray for yourself… those you love… and those in your world you don’t even know… to gather up their treasures… bring them to Him… lay them down for His use…
Seek Him for preparation of hearts to be used by Him… ready to offer the whole of their being as a gift… an act of worship…
Ask Him to reveal Himself in such a way… direction is changed… priorities are realigned… worship boldly offered… by those who receive revelation…
Pray for yourself and others… to be gifted… with hearts like the wise men…
