The teaching of second-graders focused on His listening to us…
We talked about what it means to listen… not just hearing… but engaging… understanding… obeying…
His followers are called to listen to Him… to worship… obey…
In turn… He listens to us… hearing… engaging… understanding our hearts even better than we… and responding to our cries…
“…We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, God listens to him. Never since the world began has it been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a man born blind. If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”
John 9:31-33 ESV
These words spoken about Jesus… by a man born blind… who Jesus opened his eyes…
Jesus worshiped God… loved God… did His will in all things… and in return… the Father responded to His prayers… and healed…
Then Jesus told His disciples… they would be blessed the same way… because of Him…
“…Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. …”
John 16:23 ESV
When we live like Jesus… in His name… in His character… the Father… He listens… and responds to us…
