So how do you know…? when a step of faith returns with blessing…?
Today the shop sister and I took a step… brought something out of the dark… something given for use… but got put in cold storage…
By the afternoon… something we’d been waiting for came… and my first thought… Because we acted in faith…
But how do you know…?
Sometimes I think faith actions… such as obedience and prayer… are a lot like preventive medicine… living healthy…
How do you know if it does any good…?
The only way to know… is if you could not do it at the same time… then compare the outcomes…
One thing we do see for sure is problems…
In the midst of clear cut consequences… the painful kind… it’s easy to say… I should’ve…
But when life goes smooth… no bumps in the road… all ends meet… we are quick to call it coincidence… good fortune… or not acknowledge it at all…
Again… how do you know if steps of faith… pay off…?
Well… by faith…
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
Hebrews 11:1 NIV84
We don’t see what we avoid through preventive medicine…
We don’t always see where He’s intervened because of prayer…
And we don’t always recognize the blessings of walking by faith…
We must choose to believe it matters… seeing His hand in what comes… by faith…
Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.
