Yesterday morning’s waking song… seems to have been my spirit speaking to Him… the Holy Spirit getting a… Yes Lord… from me… while my flesh was still sleeping…
You see… for several weeks… really months… I’ve been wrestling with making a commitment… setting a date… for a new ladies Bible study to start…
Reluctantly… I made it last week…
With trepidation… I walked by faith…
But with my spirit’s wide open… Yes Lord… Yes Lord… Amen… there has been no more reluctance… just joy…!
Had I known only my flesh was holding me back… well… I hope I would’ve committed much earlier… for now the tightness seems gone… the straits busted down… for wide open spaces to prevail…
I’ve followed His lead in asking for help from others in this season… within other ministries I’m involved… and in those steps of obedience… there is a feeling of freedom… focus… and looking forward… to what He’s up to…
Joy… Joy… Joy…
Let the Holy Spirit… speak up for your spirit… and not your flesh… they’ll never come into agreement…
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed it cannot.
