waking song…

My first thoughts… a waking song…

Yes Lord… Yes Lord… Yes Yes Lord… Yes Lord… Yes Lord… Yes Yes Lord… Yes Lord… Yes Lord… Yes Yes Lord… Amen…

I’m pressed but not crushed… persecuted not abandoned,.. struck down but not destroyed… I am blessed beyond the curse for Your promise will endure… and Your joy’s gonna be my strength…

A reminder of His faithfulness… in a season of feeling pressed…

I said it last Friday to sisters in study… Everything feels tight lately… I’ve experienced a season of stretching… but my life lately feels like a season of straits… just barely squeezing through to get to the next thing…

The Word which comes to mind… connected to this season… is the narrow way…

“Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. …”

Luke 13:24 ESV

Striving… seems to define my life these days…

But the waking song reminds… I will not be crushed…

Pressed… yes… but not crushed… not destroyed…

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

2Corinthians 4:6-10 NIV

Because He died… we are not destroyed… carrying around His death in us… a reminder of His work of salvation… His life in us… reminds to live for Him… not self…

He holds us together… He lights the way… for each of our days…

Feeling pressed…? Perhaps it’s affirmation… you’re right where you need to be…

Yes Lord… Yes Lord… Yes Yes Lord… Amen…!
