Battling a to-do mentality… as I approach writing here this evening…
Much like something to get done… you know… the elliptical workout in the morning… getting it done early so I can check it off the list…
This… is not a to-do…
But some days… when it’s just been loud… the desire to just get it done… check it off… move on to other to-dos… tries to creep in…
Holding my head in my hands… I repent…
This is not a to-do… it is a to-be… with You…
Everything He calls us to… is not something to check off a list… it is something to enjoy doing with Him… being in His presence…
So sad I must remind myself over and over…
Being with Him… is the point of all He calls me to… it’s nothing about the to-do…
It’s listening… trusting… waiting… entering His presence… to-be…
Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!
