I’ve known planting seeds to be hard… dirty… work… but it can also be quiet… even when you’re planting seeds of faith…
You turn the dirt… stirring a heart… a mind… to think…
Lay down a seed… speaking the Word… trust something is happening…
Turning… sowing…
Turning… sowing…
The dirt doesn’t reveal one thing about what it will do with the seed planted…
No excitement about being entrusted with potential life…
It just sits quiet… as you dig… plant… cover…
Hope-fully over the weeks… with watering… weeding… something will grow… sprout up green… leaves unfurling…
But in the planting… there is just quiet… leaving you to wonder… if the work you’ve done… will be fruitful…
“A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell along the path and was trampled underfoot, and the birds of the air devoured it. And some fell on the rock, and as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it. And some fell into good soil and grew and yielded a hundredfold.”
