Sometimes He provides… before we know we need…
Like when the Israelites left Egypt… He commanded them to plunder the Egyptians by asking…
“… So I will stretch out my hand and strike Egypt with all the wonders that I will do in it; after that he will let you go. And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and when you go, you shall not go empty, but each woman shall ask for her neighbor, and any woman who lives in her house, for silver and gold jewelry, and for clothing. You shall put them on your sons and on your daughters. So you shall plunder the Egyptians.
Exodus 3:20-22 ESV
The former slaves left Egypt… entered the wilderness… with great riches… they didn’t know why…
But then Moses came down from the mountain with a vision from God… a tabernacle to build… a residence for God in the midst of His people…
He knew what they would need to fulfill the vision He had in store…
I’ve seen the same working in my life lately… receiving gifts… offers… I didn’t know what they were for… until… the vision came… and now I see… part of what is needed… came before I knew what it was for…
Provision… from Latin… meaning… foresight…
pro-… prefix meaning before… vision… meaning to see…
He provides for what He sees… because His foresight is perfect…
Pro-vision… this is what He excels at…
What pro-vision has He given you…? Have you received an offer for help you didn’t really see the need for…? An extra blessing… you aren’t sure what you will do with…?
Well hang on… wait… it could be a provision… for a vision yet to be revealed…
