The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures.
Psalm 23:1-2 ESV
The alarm went off this morning… and as usual… in my waking thoughts I tell Him… Good morning… and remind Him… Your day… Your way…
I don’t always pop right out of bed… maybe I’ll lay there ten… fifteen… twenty minutes before getting my feet on the floor…
But today…! my husband’s alarm re-woke me…
It goes off an hour later than mine…
So yes… I overslept the alarm by an HOUR…
I suppose I needed the sleep… He gave me the extra rest… made me continue to lie down…
I say this because as the morning wore on… I wasn’t behind…
Things got done… I actually left the house earlier than I thought I would…
Feeling rested at work… the day moved relatively smoothly…
Not like a day I would expect to go… after oversleeping an hour…
The sun sets now… and I look back… reflecting on the morning…
I decide it was Him… blessing me with an extra hour of sleep… because some days… His day… His way… includes oversleeping the alarm…
The Lord is my shepherd… I shall not want…
