As I watch… or hear about… loved ones who know Him… making questionable decisions… I find myself feeling joy…
Strange joy… at the anticipation… of what He’s doing… planning… for them in their dark seasons…
Questioning Him about the joy… I sense it rooted in the truth of His gifts and calling being irrevocable…
Wandering will be allowed… even deception… for a time… but in it all there is His purpose…
He will not revoke what He’s given… He will complete what He’s begun…
So for me… who only sees now… and the desperate prayers over what’s happening… the joy is strange…
But in the blessed joy… which could only come from Him… I find hope… and reason to trust…
May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.
