Just realized I failed to post yesterday… as the blank screen stares back at me… asking for a Title… and words to fill the blank below…
It was a hard day… but a good day…
I’d intended to write about fear… fear in relationships… which sometimes increases as you become closer to someone…
The closer you are… the harder it is to have the hard talks… there’s just too much at stake… a relationship you don’t want to lose… or mar…
And that’s what I did yesterday… dealt with fear… and opened up to have a hard talk…
That’s what I intended to write about… but never did… I guess it was just too hard… too fresh…
But here’s the lesson… if there is fear in doing something… reaching out to someone… that just means you need to do it all the more…
Perfect love… casts out fear… and when we open our hearts to someone… sharing hurts… frustrations… seeking forgiveness… laying down pride… fear is cast out… and love becomes just a little more perfected…
Have the hard talks… even if you’d rather put it aside… or cover it up… don’t…
Because when it’s done… there is freedom from fear… a burden removed… and love deepens…
…for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
