Sad to say… losing yesterday’s fight of faith… I fell prey to a full-blown hissy fit…
Not directed at anyone specific… but my poor husband suffered the fallout…
Today… I find myself haunted by the look on his face…
Broken… in general… was the trigger for the fit…
Too much brokenness in the world… so much we have no control over… broken families… broken people… broken church…
But the broken in our house… around our house… you think we could contain… restore… repair…
Nothing ever seems to get done…! And it’s no one specific… we both contribute to the cause… but yesterday… it was just too much…
Words flew… actions were taken… a flurry of failure… at being a gentle… quiet… spirit…
Too much talk leads to sin. Be sensible and keep your mouth shut.
Proverbs 10:19 NLT
During an appointment today… when she said… You can tell me when I forget… all I could think was… I’m resting in being quiet… I couldn’t even say it out loud…
In the being quiet… He talked to me about yesterday’s blow up… bringing to mind… the words… the hurt… the look…
Too much talk… leads to sin…
So I’m working at being sensible… wise…
Being quiet… keeping my mouth shut…
Too much talk leads to sin. Be sensible and keep your mouth shut.
Proverbs 10:19 NLT
Thank you for the reminder.
A bible verse that I need to repeat over and over and over again…in my head. Not out loud! You know me Carol, this is a challenge for me. Many hugs sent your way!
