The better of yesterday… takes patience today…
Patience to wait… until you have the tools and skills to do better…
It is a process… there’s a learning curve… and even a waiting period…
So I found myself a little frustrated today… with the work at the shop… knowing I could do better… but having to wait… to be fully equipped…
But that’s what growth is about… waiting to get better… and persevering through the process…
To see it as stepping stone… even though it might be slippery… a troublesome moment… what James calls us to find joy in…
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
James 1:2-4 NIV
Joy… in the waiting patiently… persevering to the point of being ready…. able… to do better…
That was the challenge today… and is everyday… when it comes to striving for spiritual maturity too…
Waiting… persevering… patiently… joyfully… to one day… become… better…
