But I say, walk by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.
Galatians 5:16-17 ESV
To walk by the Spirit is to practice unseen works… works He calls us to… leads us to…
I’ve been practicing some unseen works the last week or so… and I wonder at the differences I’ve seen…
The Spirit seems louder…
But so does my flesh…
However… the complaining flesh becomes a reminder to pray for the purpose behind the unseen work…
By the power of the Spirit… the flesh… opposed to the Spirit… becomes His unsuspecting ally…
The more we exercise our spirits by walking with the Spirit… the stronger we get spiritually… and our fleshly desires provide resistance to build even more spiritual muscle… like weights…
In the same manner physical muscles grow as we walk down the road… or on the treadmill… spiritual muscles can be exercised too…
Benefits of unseen works… increase our ability to resist the temptations of the flesh… and become spiritually mature…
Consider asking God what He would call you to do this week… when it comes to unseen works…
If you are willing… He will answer…
