The sense of smallness yesterday… led to a BIG revelation today… quiet… but big…
It came as a shift in perspective… recognizing… there was no need to achieve… according to the world’s standards… to be worthy… enough… productive…
In God’s economy… He deems everyone worth dying for… and He did just that…
Once we accept His gift of grace… we begin to live in this crazy significance of feeling small…
God chose what is low and despised in the world even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.

Suddenly I saw myself on par with those society deems least… those with severe mental disabilities… physical disabilities… infants… elderly riddled with dementia… chronically ill…
All these so precious to our Savior… none contributing to the economy… or offering any service to the community… but all so loved by Him…
Then I realized… seeking who I am based on my significance according to culture… i.e. my worth in the work force… or whether what I do for Him is applauded by others… or whether I touch the lives of tens… hundreds… or thousands… does not define me…
He defines me… as wholly His… worth rescuing… worth dying for…
In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ… In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.
