whew…

Whew…!

I signed it as an exclamation at the end of an email expressing just that… relief…

The email was to the sister with whom I teach… the exclamation in response to the finishing of the first draft of the teaching for the next day… Whew…!

It caught her attention… stuck in her spirit… and later she emails me…

So with everything I write this morning I finish with the word… whew! And you know what? This is a word of praise. A breathing out of things He is completing.

Then she writes… There’s an acronym in there somewhere… maybe you’ll be inspired…

And I laugh at her words… because they just feel true…

Whew…! when I wrote it… was an exclamation of relief… a praise for the work He’d done… in making time… finding the way… revealing the words…

I wonder at whether there really is an acronym to go with it… try a few on for size… but nothing works…

Then this morning… while making the bed… thinking about the things He’s done as I walk in His way… words come…

Wandering His Eternal Way…

Now there’s a whew for you…

Wandering His way is always a way of relief… letting Him lead… provide… make time…

Then a few minutes later… in the shower I hear…

Witnessing His Endless Wonders…

Another whew… seeing Him work out wonders… endlessly… over and over… fills one with surprise… amazement…

So today my mantra has been… Whew…!

Because when we trust Him… our wanderings turn into a whew of wonders…

Have you experienced a Whew…! moment today…?

His Way is always a way of surprising relief and wonder…

And yes… sometimes you’re left very tired… at the end of a whew filled day…

I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.

Psalm 9:1-2 ESV

Whew….!
