dear facebook friends…

Dear Facebook friends… I have a confession… I don’t really get the whole Facebook thing… as you’ve probably noticed…

And what gets posted to my page is often different than you see on others’ pages… well this is just a warning… there’s going to be more different…

For about six years… I’ve been posting six days a week on a blog… Jeremiah’s Menu… a place I felt led to write about my journey with God and His Word…

Recently I switched from Blogger to WordPress… and recently felt God’s pressing to share with a wider audience what I’m writing… feeling a bit convicted about hiding my light under a basket… because He says to His followers…

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men…”

Matthew 5:14-16 NKJV

Now all this is very uncomfortable for me… makes me feel vulnerable… so when I saw the option on WordPress to automatically share my posts on Facebook… well I thought… Here is a painless way to share what I’m doing without thinking about it…

At least that’s what I thought till I saw my first post on Facebook… and was surprised because I forgot I set it to automatically share…

So today I’m thinking I should warn you dear Facebook friends… posts about Him… posts of my writing will show up regularly… which will reveal my heart too…

You see… I’m a writer… and I related to what I read today from another writer…

There is no hiding it, that was for sure. I was a writer, I had no secrets. I hadn’t had a thought in years that hadn’t ended up in print somewhere.

–Andrew Klavan, The Great Good Thing

Most of my thoughts have ended up on blogs… or in Bible studies I’ve written… and for the moment… Facebook will be a place where these thoughts… writings… get spread a little wider…

Consider yourself… warned…
