A conversation leaves me with questions about questions…
Do people ask… because they really want to know…? or are they looking for someone to agree…?
Are people really seeking light…? truth…? or affirmation in their belief…?
What do I know…? about seeking truth…? It always leads to freedom…
So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 8:31-32 ESV
If you’re answer leaves you fear-full… anxiety ridden… it is not from Him…
Fear and anxiety entered the world with sin…
The only thing… the only One… we are to fear… or rather revere… is Him…
Only fear the Lord and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.
1 Samuel 13:24 NASB
He is love… and when we love Him in return… fully believing… fully trusting… all fear is cast out…
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.
1 John 4:18 ESV
Questions from a teachable heart… seeking truth… lead us to freedom… freedom from worry… freedom from fear… freedom from anxiety…
How are you questioning…? seeking truth…? or affirmation…?
