The revealing of emotionally driven faith has only high-lighted the issue in my life…
I saw it today… again…!
Don’t know if I handled it great… but I did see it in the moment… and began to repent…
The process of repenting… is really a change of mind… therefore most repenting begins with preaching to self…
And of course… to preach to self… you have to have a handle on some truth…
I reminded myself… emotions are not the basis of my faith… and today began with…
In your anger do not sin. Ephesians 4:16 NIV
Then to myself… In your frustration… do not begin to doubt all you’ve done… and trust Him to be at work…
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 NIV
And when things didn’t work out as I had planned… the Word preached…
The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. Proverbs 16:9 NIV
So… AMEN…!
Maybe… it just wasn’t time…
Hope you have the Word stored up… so you can repent… do some preaching to yourself… because… O… those emotions…
