But according to his promise we are waiting for
new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these,
be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish,
and at peace.

We are waiting…
in a dark… broken… corrupt… world…
for the promised coming…
of new heavens… and new earth…
in which dwell only righteousness…
While we wait in the dark…
for Him to turn on all the lights…
we have His light in us…
shining as brightly as we will let Him…
He calls us to be diligent in our waiting…
serving Him… staying near Him…
so we may be without a smudge…
and at peace…
Only in Him…
can we be spotless…
seeking His Way…
being quick to confess… repent…
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9 ESV
Only in Him…
can we be at peace…
resting in Him…
trusting in Him…
The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything,
but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
