For God alone my soul waits in silence;

I pray this psalmist’s song…
would be mine too…
My soul is not very good at waiting in silence…
it stirs… wonders… and sometimes doubts…
When will the waiting be done…? will what I desire ever come…?
To wait on Him…
who is the Rock… Salvation… and Fortress…
should assure a soul… it will never be greatly shaken…
but I’m not sure my faith is to this point yet…
What the psalmist sings…
I’ll make my prayer…
Lord… may my soul wait on You in silence…
trusting Your great faithfulness…
confident of Your work…
for my good…
and Your glory…
Amen…
